It has been more than 30 years since that last major league game was played at Shibe Park A.K.A. Connie Mack Stadium. Ten World Series were played there. The first in 1910, the final in 1950. Major League baseball featured two All-Star games in 1943,& 1952. Countless other important events, including political, professional boxing, movie stars, National League Football, high school & college sports, the Negro Leagues, WWII rallies and many other events, too numerous to list here. Shibe Park’s history is a virtual who’s who from all walks of life.
