The Kansas City Athletics Baseball Team Appreciation and Reunion Day hosted by the T-Bones and Sports Radio 810 WHB is planned for August 16, 2008, at CommunityAmerica Ballpark, 1800 Village West Parkway, Kansas City, Kan. There will be a public autograph signing with the players from 2-5p.m. at the stadium followed by an introduction of the team members before the 7:05 p.m. game time.

Tickets for the signing will be available at the stadium that day for $10 per signature with group signature discounts available. Tickets for the game between the T-Bones and Railcats are available anytime. There will also be KC A’s merchandise for sale and a silent auction of some unique KC A’s memorabilia that afternoon and evening. John E. Peterson, author of ‘The Kansas City Athletics: A Baseball History 1954-1967,’ will be at the stadium that day to sign copies of his book.

The Kansas City Athletics Project, which includes a public television documentary as well as the reunion, has planned this day as the final event of the project before completion of the documentary.

Players who will be in attendance include Norm Siebern, Jerry Lumpe, Wayne Causey, Chuck Dobson, Bob Cerv, Mike Hershberger, Don Buschhorn and many others. This will be the first reunion of KC A’s players from all thirteen seasons, and the planners hope to make it an annual event. The public autograph session tickets will benefit the completion of the documentary.
