By Bob Warrington A Summary of Evers’ Career The name Johnny Evers should be instantly recognizable to any true baseball fan. He had an 18-year career and was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame (HOF). Evers’ HOF plaque notes that he was “one of the game’s smartest and scrappiest players.”
This photograph was taken about October 20, 1944 at an Island known as part of the Hawaian Island Ohhau, we can locate such stars as Steve Lack, (All American from Duke) Eddie Pelligrenie, Eddie Robinson, Max Patkin, Del Ennis, Barney McCosky, Mickey Vernon, Pee Wee Reese. There are so many others we cannot identify.
