to our Online Museum 2005. Here we will take you on a tour of our
Museum located in downtown Hatboro, PA. In our Museum we offer an
extensive free Library section stocked full with volumes of baseball
statistics waiting for your research requirements.
Tony
Wheeler formerly of Lansdale, Pa and currently residing in Arnold,
Maryland has graciously donated his collection of A's memorabila
from his days at Shibe Park. Tony says his favorite players
were Ferris Fain, Sam Chapman & Gus Zernial. The Wheeler collection that
is now on display in the Museum consisted of early A's yearbooks, scorecards,
rosters, schedules, 1948 &1949 team photos, a pen &
pencil set in its original box, commemorative pins, original
copies of the A's newsletter, Along the Elephant Trails in their
original mailing envelopes, A's home schedules and an assortment
of newspaper clippings mostly of his favorite player Ferris
Fain. Tony's 91 year old mother still resides in Lansdale, PA. |
