February
12-18 has been designated as "National Salute to Veterans
Hospitals Week." In accordance with this tribute
to our Veterans the A's Society has made arrangements to deliver
a free copy of Memories of a Ball-Player to each Veteran at
the Veteran Medical Centers in South Philadelphia, Northeast
Philadelphia, Coatsville, PA, Wilmington, DE and are awaiting
confirmation for other facilities outside of the USA. The
Society working in conjunction with the volunteer services
at each of the local area facilities are currently working
out the logistics that will include A's Society volunteers
delivering hundreds of books during that special week long
honor. Watch this site for up to date activity.
