HOLIDAY TRADITION MARCHES THROUGH HATBORO |
|
On Saturday November 18, 2001 the Greater Hatboro Chamber of Commerce held its 41st annual Holiday Parade, "Broadway Comes to Hatboro, A Holiday Spectacular." The annual parade drew an estimated 65,000 to 75,000 spectators and participants. Nine floats in three divisions took first, second and third place honors for workmanship, original design and pertinence to the parade's theme. The weatherman contributed to a fantastic fall day as the temperatures stayed at a comfortable 65° throughout the bright sunny day. Thousands of spectators showed their patriotism by cheering and clapping every time the American flag, policeman, fireman and servicemen & women, boy & girl scout troops came into view as they proudly marched up York Road through the center of town. This 41st Annual Parade will go down as one of the best ever. The A's Historical Society is proud to once again be a part of this community's activities. |
