ALTHOUGH MORE VERNON MEMORABILIA IS YET
TO BE ADDED A DEDICATION DATE BY THE MICKEY VERNON STATUE COMMITTEE
HAS NOT BEEN SCHEDULED.
The Pirates uniform shown here on the right side
of the showcase is the actual uniform shirt Vernon wore during his
1964 season as a Pittsburgh Pirates Coach. It bears all of the original
tags and Vernon's number #42 that he selected when he came to the
Pirates as a pinch hitter during the 1960 season.Number # 42 also
represented his age at that time.

VERNON FIGURINE
The Marcus Hook Mickey Vernon fan
club is in the process of dedicating a showcase of Vernon memorabilia
to be on display in the Marcus Hook Elementary School.The Upper
Chichester School Board gave its permission to have this long overdue
tribute to the town's favorite son.To raise funds for the expenses
necessary to build and install the two showcases the committee will
begin selling original copies of the recently designed Mickey Vernon
Hartland figurine at special business' & events in the town
as well as surrounding towns like Linwood & Boothwyn. All proceeds
from the sale of the figurines will be donated for this fund.Each
purchaser will also receive an authentic Hartland Certificate of
Authenticity to guarantee the figurine is one of the limited editions
