Old Baseball Days 1860- 1950's

Saturday, October 16 - 10:00 am to 3:00 pm
at Sudlersville Middle School, Sudlersville, MD

The current home of the Jimmie Foxx Museum is located in a section of the Train Station Museum, a small former train station located in his hometown of Sudlersville, Md.

The Sudlersville Community Betterment Club is currently designing a fund raiser set for October 16, 2010 to raise the necessary funding to build an expansion to the current Museum in an open field across from the present site. A large section of this new building will be the future home of the Jimmie Foxx collection.

Appearing at the fund raiser on October 16, 2010 will be Bill Jenkinson, author of the new book, “Baseball’s Ultimate Power”. Watch this site for more specific details on how you can join in on this long overdue and worthwhile cause. The Philadelphia Athletics Society in conjunction with the Betterment Club are designing a special (only 300 to be cast) limited edition Jimmie Foxx Bobble Head Doll as its kickoff to the fund raising activities. The design of this unique one of a kind tribute to Foxx will be in this design, his most popular pose. The site of the new Museum expansion, like the current Museum is only a few minutes from the Foxx statue that stands in the center of Sudlersville.
