Retired Judge Graham Richards of Longsdon, Straffordshire, England

his breakfast at a local restaurant he decided to walk through the
"Village" and was astounded when he saw the name of the
Society painted on our green awning. The judge indicated he was a
long time Athletics fan..As an aside, we have neighbors who live
right around the corner who have not stopped in for all of the 12
years we have been in Hatboro!!!
SOCIETY WELCOMES MEMBER VISITOR FROM JAPAN
In the 12 years since we opened our Hatboro facility we are most
proud of the distances some of our members have traveled to pay
tribute to the Philadelphia Athletics. We have had visitors from
Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Scotland, Holland, The Netherlands,
Austria, Mexico, South America. On September 10, 2010 we were pleased
to greet our member Akira Matsubara as he arrived after a 24 hour
trip from Tokyo as he walked through the Museum looking at all of
the items from the Athletics & baseball's glorious past.

Our visitor from Toyko, Japan, Akira Matsubara shown
with employee Joan Searles who presented Akira with a complimentary
Hartland figurine to take home & place on his sportswriters
desk to remind him constantly of Connie Mack's Philadelphia Athletics.
