SOCIETY RECEIVES DONATION OF
BASEBALL RESEARCH BOOKS
University of Pennsylvania Professor Bruce Kuklick has graciously
donated his collection of more than 70 books to the Society's Library.
Over the years many college students, authors, high school students
and regular fans of baseball mull through these library volumes
to learn about the history of baseball. With this fantastic assortment
of books from SABR Magazines, The National Pastime, The Federal
Leagues of 1914-1915 & many other important reviews of baseball's
history, The Society can lay claim to having available an assortment
of books most likely the best in the Montgomery & Bucks County
areas of Pennsylvania.
Kuklick, an author in his own right in authored, what has proven
to be the most sought after book in the Society's Gift Shop. Published
in 1991 by the Princeton University Press, Kuklick's "TO EVERYTHING
A SEASON - SHIBE PARK AND URBAN PHILADELPHIA 1909-1976.” Our
most sincerest appreciation to Mr. Kuklick for his generous contribution
to the Society's Library.
