Doris Chism is shown here viewing the 16 autographed baseballs that have been on loan to the Society is November 1998 when her late husband Ray brought them in and became the first item in the Society's Museum. There is quite a story behind these baseballs.

On loan from the Chism's family of Horsham, Pennsylvania, this rare case contains sixteen autographed baseball's 1947 to 1952, eight from each league. It includes 343 autographs with 23 Hall of Famers. The case has a story of it's own made by inmates at Graterford prison.

DORIS CHISM is shown here admiring the Chism family collection of autographed baseballs on loan to the A's Society Museum.
