Abington Cub
Scout Troop #1 Visits Hatboro

Through the cooperation of BJ's Sportcards, our Hatboro
neighbor, we were delighted to entertain a dozen members & parents
of the ABINGTON CUB SCOUT TROOP # 1 ages 8-12. Each attendee was
given door prizes that consisted of a scarce Hartland Bat Boy figurine,
a box of Cracker Jacks and an unopened pack of baseball cards. Baseball
from the era on display in the Museum was basically new to these
youngsters however they stood wide eyed in front of the display
of the autographed baseballs of legends Babe Ruth & Lou Gehrig
as one 8 year old commented, "He used to hold the home run
record, huh?"
The Society encourages visits from groupd
such as this in order to tell the history of another era of baseball.
